Summer Reading Program
Reading Colors Your World
What will the Summer Reading Program look like this year?
This year's Summer Reading Program, "Reading Colors Your World" will be open for registration for Clinton Township Public Library patrons of all ages starting June 2nd, 2021. As you know, our indoor space is limited, so on the 2nd (weather permitting) we will have our registration table set up outside the library. Even though we are outside, we do ask you to still wear a mask when interacting with our staff and other patrons for library events. Once you've signed up, the library will be open 12pm - 8pm for you to check out your books and start reading!
Youth will track their reading and get stickers that can be redeemed for prizes as early as June 7th. Adults can also track their reading to be entered into raffles that will be drawn at the end of our summer reading program.
Each week we will be offering hands-on grab + go crafts and activities to keep kids engaged! These kits will come with instructions, all the supplies needed to create something, and accompanied by a video from the library. We will also have a limited number of spaces for kids to do a craft with our summer reading assistant in our children's area on Wednesdays at 3pm and Thursdays at 10:30am. Pre-registration will be required for these events and we will be following appropriate mask and social distancing requirements.
While we are excited to have you visiting the library for our summer reading program, we know that everyone has a different comfort level. We continue to offer curbside pickup of materials upon request, and will be happy to get your reading logs to you that way as well. Our staff have the health and safety of our community at the forefront of our minds and continue to take steps to keep our spaces sanitized and follow local, state, and federal guidelines to the best of our abilities. We appreciate your continued patience and ask that you hang in there with us.
